Chaires Members Wins Firefighter of the Year!Congratulations to Lt. Bill Ipock (1206) who was awarded the 2008 Leon County Volunteer of the Year award.
Bill has been a dedicated member of the Chaires-Capitola Volunteer fire department for over two and a half years. Since being promoted to lieutenant he has been in charge of medical reporting, medical supplies and vehicle maintenance. He made a point to become a certified driver operator on all the department vehicles as soon as possible after joining, and has been instrumental in planning and running several large fund-raising events. We thank him and his family for their work and dedication to the department over the last several years.
